Greetings, Exalted One!

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Brittany Smith, cognitive neuroscientist, coach, and computer enthusiast. I specialize in helping you get your work done: better, more efficiently, and more enjoyably.

Think of me as your personal cognitive neuroscientist

Cognitive Neuroscience studies our amazing brains and how they function. During my training to become a Jedi Brain Master, I devoured information on attention, working memory, creativity, motivation, and grew to appreciate what a destructive force chronic stress can be. I continue to study how we work at our best and why, sometimes, we don't.

I help my clients better understand their own cognitive functioning. From there, we create customized plans to work with your unique brain, playing to its strengths. Being “organized" and optimally productive doesn’t come naturally to me, either. But I've learned how to get things done, and so can you.

I tech, therefore I am

I’ve been around computers since the days of the “DOS C >” prompt. These days I follow Apple News, productivity software and tips, and personally own 2 Macs, 2 iPads, and 3 iPhones – 5 of which I use every single day. (Okay, I own a Windows laptop, too. And I even know a few helpful Android apps.)

I love discovering new ways to make our work easier—especially for those tasks that we tend to avoid or that our brains aren't good at managing. I love apps that help us get past the resistance we feel to tedious, repetitive tasks. I'll happily make you a few custom workflows to get started on some of the tasks you tend to avoid the most.

I have a passion for assistive technology, using our devices to lead richer lives. Technology can be a beautiful equalizer for people with vision, auditory, or learning disabilities. I’m always excited about technology that allows us to accomplish what we can’t easily do on our own. One of my favorite apps is Voice Dream Reader, which helps people read—whether they have vision problems, Dyslexia, ADHD, or just very little reading time. I want to get the most out of life and, increasingly, our technology can help us do that.

I’m on the ADHD Coaches Organization Leadership Team, and a member of CHADD and ADDA, other great ADHD resources.

I’m your kind of scum

"I used to think it was all a bunch of mumbo jumbo: a magical power of being organized and getting things done on time. Crazy thing is, it's true. Efficiency, Productivity...all of it. It's all true."
